PURPOSE: A digital compass using an L/R sensor is provided to improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs by allowing a driver to easily know a current position and a current direction and by simplifying a structure of a display unit indicating directions of east, west, south, and north. CONSTITUTION: A digital compass using an L/R sensor includes an L/R sensor module(111), a temperature sensor circuit(112), a micro-controller(130), a local selection switch(113), an input part(110), a dual color LED x 8 display unit(121), a second switch(125), an output part(120), a micro-controller(130), and a DC power supplying unit(14). The L/R sensor module(111) includes an L/R oscillating circuit. The local selection switch(113) uses a stored position correction value. The dual color LEDx8 display unit(121) uses an LED having dual colors of red/green. The output part(120) is connected to a digital output terminal(126).
