PURPOSE: A telematics service system through a wired/wireless network is provided to allow a user to set various telematics services such as setting a destination, bookmark for a road guide or bookmark for traffic information in various terminals. CONSTITUTION: As a mobile communication network(500), a widely used PCS(Personal Communication Service) type communication system, an IS-95A, 95B, 95C, IMT-2000, or a CDMA digital cellular system such as a UMTS can be used, through which a navigation terminal(200), a PCS terminal(300) or a user PC(400) can access to an information center. The navigation terminal(200) can be a PCS terminal or an ITS(Intelligent Traffic System) terminal. In case of the PCS terminal, it operates in a navigation mode to receive navigation information provided from the information center(100) and provide it, as well as operating in a typical voice call service. The PCS terminal can receive a navigation service by interworking with the ITS terminal, can operate in a car maintenance/accounts book mode to transmit a car sense signal to the information center(100) and receive a car-related control signal and other car-related information to provide it. |
