PURPOSE: A medicament ejector is provided to assure that desired doses are dispensed through the use of clean nozzles. CONSTITUTION: The medicament ejector(20) comprises: an ejection mechanism including at least one ejection port configured to eject a medicament-containing fluid; and a service mechanism selectively deployable to service the at least one ejection port. The inhaler comprises: a supply of a fluid containing a medicament; an ejection mechanism including a face having a plurality of ejection ports, each port having an associated ejection chamber coupled to the fluid supply and configured to eject medicament-containing fluid; a wiper configured to travel along the face of the ejection mechanism; and a drive mechanism configured to move the wiper between a retracted position in which the plurality of ejection ports are exposed to allow the ejection mechanism to eject the medicament-containing fluid and a deployed position whereby the wiper wipes the face of the ejection mechanism along the ejection ports.
