PURPOSE: An optical information storage medium is provided to include plural areas, and to dispose transition zones in boundary areas between the plural areas, thereby smoothly reproducing data and deteriorating an error generation rate while reproducing the data. CONSTITUTION: Data is recorded at a BCA(Burst Cutting Area)(10) in straight single pattern pits. Data is recorded at a lead-in area(20) in straight random pattern pits. The first transition zone(15) formed in straight single patterns is disposed between the BCA(10) and the lead-in area(20). The first transition zone(15) can be formed in wobbling single pattern pits. Pit patterns of the transition zone(15) are identical with pit patterns of an area located after the transition zone(15). The transition zone(15) is formed as a mirror zone. The pits of the transition zone(15) are formed in straight patterns or wobbling patterns.
