<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of a peripheral drive circuit in a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The display device has a power supply circuit for supplying an electric power to the peripheral drive circuit which drives a pixel part. When an input signal is applied to the N-th circuit which specifies the N-th pixel of the pixel part, the power supply circuit stops electric power supply for the (N+x)-th circuit specifying the (N+x)-th pixel and the (N-y)-th circuit specifying the (N-y)-th pixel, wherein, N is a natural number, x≥1 and y≥2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
