<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing unit for a water pump capable of reducing its weight, improving cooling efficiency, and solving problems wherein cost is increased and machining is difficult and to provide the water pump provided with this bearing unit. <P>SOLUTION: A mechanical seal 4 is provided in an end part on an impeller side of a rotary shaft 11 serving also as an inner ring. A mounting part 21 on rotation side of the mechanical seal 4 is formed into a cylindrical shape, and one end part of the mounting part 21 on rotation side is fitted and fixed in the rotary shaft 11. A shaft part 5a of an impeller 5 is fitted and fixed in the other end part of the mounting part 21 on rotation side to fix the impeller 5 to the rotary shaft 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
