<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing method for an inter-vehicle communication system with local color for utilizing narrow area wireless communication to provide information to only a particular area wherein a vehicle can easily provide the information to enhance the convenience and to provide an on-vehicle apparatus for inter-vehicle communication. <P>SOLUTION: An advertising car 1 is provided with an on-vehicle unit 2 capable of making DSRC communication, and a general car 10 is also provided with an on-vehicle unit 11 capable of making DSRC communication. The car 1 can enter data of advertisement information of a company 3 and a shop 4 to the on-vehicle unit 2 and store the entered data of advertisement information to a memory. The car 1 uses the on-vehicle unit 2 to transmit the advertisement information to the on-vehicle unit 11 of the general car 10 located within a communication area of the car 1 while being driven. The communication area of the on-vehicle unit 2 and the general car 10 is set in front of each of the vehicles, and the car 1 and the general car 10 establish communication when the car 1 and the general car 10 pass by each other and the on-vehicle unit 2 transmits the advertisement information to the on-vehicle unit 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
