PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner capable of automatically setting a light quantity adjustment of a semiconductor laser and also a motor control. SOLUTION: A radio communication device composed of a storage part which stores optical characteristics of a laser diode or photodiode, a communication part for radio communication, and a control part which controls the communication part and storage part is arranged on a laser device. A light quantity setting device having a reception part which is arranged in the laser device and receives a signal distributed from the radio communication device, a gain setting part which sets the gain of a current outputted from the photodiode according to electric and optical characteristics of the laser device received by the reception part, and an amplification part which amplifies the gain set by the gain setting part is provided on a laser drive circuit.
