PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently retrieve content data to be reproduced from a stored content data group. SOLUTION: This content retrieval device refers to content management information being previously determined for each of a plurality of recorded content data and at least having values corresponding to each of a plurality of kinds of properties, and displays a list 701 indicating a table of a the plurality of kinds of properties ('artist', Album', etc.). When one property (artist) is selected, a table of artists corresponding to each of music data is displayed. When an artist name is selected, the music data corresponding to the selected artist name is retrieved, and a table of values corresponding to other properties such as album name is displayed as the values corresponding to other properties (album) corresponding to each of the selected music data.
