PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that dust collected in a dust collection chamber tends to flow back since a passage communicating a centrifugal separation chamber and the dust collection chamber is provided under the centrifugal separation chamber in a conventional vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has the centrifugal separation chamber wherein sucked dust is centrifugally separated into air and dust, and the dust collection chamber that is provided under the centrifugal separation chamber, for collecting dust. The centrifugal separation chamber and the dust collection chamber are provided to be freely attached to and detached from a cleaner body, and dust-passing ports, each of which is provided to be freely removable, from the centrifugal separation chamber to the dust collection chamber are provided in the upper end portion of the centrifugal separation chamber.
