PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small mobile printer having a simple appearance wherein the number of user interface devices is reduced by indicating the number of residual paper sheets in a media pack by blinking an LED, thereby reducing the cost. SOLUTION: A user is notified of the number of residual paper sheets in the media pack by blinking or lighting the LED which is usually used for another application. In the case where (1) the power is turned on, (2) the media pack is loaded, (3) the operation of a specific key is detected, or the number of the residual sheets is zero or near zero, a user is notified of the fact by respective lighting patterns.
