THERMOPLASTIC RESIN JOINING METHOD USING LASER

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin joining method joins thermoplastic resins with stably high strength even with respect to a minute area.

SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin 1 having permeation characteristics with respect to a laser beam L and a thermoplastic resin 2 having absorbing characteristics are superposed one upon another and the laser beam L is transmitted through the thermoplastic resin 1 having permeation characteristics to irradiate both thermoplastic resins 1 and 2 to heat the thermoplastic resin 2 having absorbing characteristics to weld and join the thermoplastic resins 1 and 2. A substance 4 with a heat conductivity of ≥0.024 W/mK is provided to the interface 3 of the thermoplastic resin 1 having transmission characteristics and the thermoplastic resin 2 having absorbing characteristics to perform the irradiation with the laser beam L.
