PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new (meth)acrylamide compound suitably used for curable compositions, especially curable compositions radically polymerized and cured by the irradiation of active energy rays such as UV light or electron beams, and to provide a curable composition which has a low viscosity, excellent coating operability, excellent curability, and small volume contraction coefficient, when cured, and gives cured coating films having excellent mechanical characteristics. SOLUTION: This (meth)acrylamide compound represented by the general formula (1) [R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each H or methyl; R<SP>3</SP>is a 1 to 10C alkylene; A is oxygen atom or imino (-HN-)]. The curable composition comprises the (meth)acrylamide compound represented by the general formula (1), or comprises the (meth)acrylamide compound represented by the general formula (1) and a polymerizable monomer and/or its oligomer.
