PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake mechanism of a simple structure capable of reliably applying the braking force to a paper tube drum when stopping the carriage of a heat-sealable sheet by a drive means. SOLUTION: The brake mechanism is applied to a heat-sealing device comprising a drive means to deliver a sheet from a paper tube body supported by a paper tube drum, a tension arm oscillating in the advancing/retracting direction to/from the paper tube drum, an urging member to urge the tension arm in an approaching direction, and a tension bar to be engaged with the sheet so that the tension arm is oscillated in the separating direction against the urging force of the urging member by the tension provided to the sheet by the drive means. The brake mechanism comprises a brake drum which is supported by the paper tube drum in a relatively non-rotatable manner, and a braking member to add the braking force to the brake drum based on the oscillating operation in the approaching direction of the tension arm.
