The vehicle has a load platform (20) for reception of a container skip (1) and a pair of hydraulically-operted pivoted lifting arms (10), provided at their load reception ends (12) with relatively angled arm extensions (14) depending in the direction of the load platform in the lifting arm transport position. Each arm extension has a hydraulically adjustable element (15) for engaging the container skip or a suspension device (2) for the container skip, to prevent movement of the container skip relative to the lifting arm.
