<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input/output buffer for providing an analog/digital input mode. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission gate transmits a digital signal from/to a pad, and an analog/digital control part determines an output level of a Schmitt trigger in response to an analog/digital control signal. A transmission control part is linked between the pad and a ground voltage and controls the transmission gate in response to a first power supply voltage, a second power supply voltage and an output of the Schmitt trigger. An internal driver part generates the output of the Schmitt trigger as an internal digital signal, and a second resistor transmits an analog signal inputted to the pad to an internal analog signal. An external driver part generates a digital output signal in the pad in response to the internal signal. Therefore, the input/output buffer generates the analog signal or the digital signal inputted to the pad as the internal analog signal and the internal digital signal and outputs a digital signal to the pad in response to an internal signal pair. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
