PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven and its control method easily storing a weight of a cooked material, calculating a cooking time corresponding to the weight of the cooked material stored at the start of cooking to perform the cooking, and surely sensing the weight of the cooked material by adjusting a zero point in measuring the weight of the cooked material. SOLUTION: This microwave oven comprises a weight sensing part for sensing the weight of the cooked material, a memory for storing the weight information of the cooked material, an input part for setting a mode to measure the weight of the cooked material and a mode for storing the measured weight of the cooked material, and a controller for storing the weight of the cooked material measured by the weight sensing part of the memory, when the weight measuring and storing mode is set from the input part, and calculating the cooking time in accordance with the weight of drink and food when the cooking is started.
