PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce road noise without increasing a weight of a tire of a pneumatic tire. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire has a belt layer composed of a multi filament steel cord and a steel cord coated rubber, but does not have a band layer. In particular, the steel cord coated rubber is composed of resorcin or resorcin condensates, and its methylene donor.
