<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a color slippage by not only performing frequency phase control for the eccentricity of the four photoreceptor drums in the conventional manner, but also simultaneously performing frequency phase-matching caused by the eccentric components such gears used from driving motors for driving four photoreceptor drums to the photoreceptor drums, as for a quadruplicate tandem type image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A reduction ratio from the driving motor for driving the photoreceptor drum to the photoreceptor drum is set to be M/N (M and N are mutually prime), providing with an N-ary counter for every color, a drive control is performed so as to synchronize at a prescribed counted value by the N-ary counter for every color. As to the prescribed counter value, the eccentric phase components of the driving motor are detected by a registration patch detection, and the value is obtained when the phases of respective color driving motors match with one another. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
