<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic maintenance system for efficient performing of remote maintenance of electronic devices. <P>SOLUTION: A central server 50 of an electronic maintenance system is provided to receive status information from a plurality of electronic devices 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, such as copying machines, printers and scanners, which need irregular maintenance. As needed, the central server transmits to a maintenance organization 52 which is relevant to a specific among devices a message, for example, reporting the occurrence of a trouble in the device.
