摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize thickness reduction, luminance heightening and cost reduction in a liquid crystal display device equipped with a backlight device.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a lower substrate equipped with a fine structured body to discharge light incident from a side face upwards, a light source to emit light to the side face of the lower substrate, a selective reflection plate disposed on the upper surface of the lower substrate to reflect light with an incident angle equal to or larger than a prescribed value and to transmit the residual light and a reflection plate disposed on the lower side of the lower substrate.
