PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which can easily and surely arrange the diaper in an appropriate position where the absorbability of the diaper is fully demonstrated even when it is especially used for adults, and reduces the effort of a wearer . SOLUTION: The disposable diaper 1 of this invention has a liquid-permeable top sheet 2, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 3, and an absorber 4 arranged between these both sheets. A dorsal part A which lies on the dorsal surface of a user when it is worn, a ventral part C which lies on the ventral surface, and a crotch part B which lies on the crotch are formed. It is a spread type disposable diaper. A reference line 10 is provided along a longitudinal direction of the diaper at an approximately central part in the width direction of the dorsal part A by the side of the top sheet 2.
