PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail processor capable of visually presenting an attached file as a reduced image and presenting information relating to electronic mail, and an electronic mail processing method. SOLUTION: The electronic mail processor for transmitting and receiving electronic mail is provided with an electronic mail processing means for judging whether or not the attached file is added to the electronic mail and outputting the electronic mail in the case that the attached file is added, an attached file extraction means for extracting the attached file from the electronic mail from the electronic mail processing means, a reduced image preparation means for preparing the reduced image from the attached file from the attached file extraction means, a link information management means for preparing a management table in which the electronic mail and the reduced image from the reduced image preparation means are made to correspond to each other, and a recording means for recording the electronic mail, the reduced image from the reduced image preparation means and the management table from the link information management means.
