PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin lens for a vehicle lamp device decorated as a whole to have a three-dimensional feeling (depth feeling), and a molding method therefor. SOLUTION: This resin lens for the vehicle lamp device is constituted by integrating a decorative film 18 made of a resin having compatibility with respect to a lens constituting resin with the rear surface of a lens body 12 by insert molding so that the decorative film 18 traverses a lens leg part 16 to extend up to the outer peripheral edge of the lens body 12. The decorative film 18 provided to the rear side of the lens body 12 traverses the lens leg part 16 to extend up to the outer peripheral edge of the lens body 12, that is, decorative film 18 is provided to the whole rear surface of the lens body 12 including a lens outer peripheral edge part (flange part) 14 and, since the pattern or color of the decorative film 18 looks three-dimensional in the whole of the lens body 12, a depth feeling is brough about in the whole of a lens 10 wherein the pattern or color is unified to extremely improve the appearance of the lamp device.
