<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety seat for a vehicle that would not lose the comfort to ride in when used normally. <P>SOLUTION: This safety seat for a vehicle includes an air bag 11 that is expanded in a manner to be positioned on an impact unsensed side in the left-right direction of a seat back 4 of a driver seat 1 when an impact is sensed at a side impact or the like of the vehicle. The air bag 11 is contained in a console box 3 normally, and when the bag 11 is expanded, it substantially blocks space over the left-right direction between the seat back 4 and a seat back 7 of a passenger's seat 2 that is positioned on the impact unsensed side in the left-right direction. Also, since the air bag 11 does not have an air passing hole, the expansion state of the air bag 11 can be maintained for a fixed period of time after the expansion. The air bag 11 transmits and diversifies load on the driver's seat 1 to the passenger's seat 2 and prevents the driver's seat 1 from falling toward the impact unsensed side.
