<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems of a fuel cell that cooling water circulating a cooling water passage for cooling heat produced in the power generation of the fuel cell freezes in a cold district in the stop of operation in the fuel cell, and increases the volume to break the cooling water passage. <P>SOLUTION: The cooling water passage for cooling the fuel cell is formed with a deformable material, and when the cooling water freezes according to decrease in ambient temperature in the stop of operation of the fuel cell, the material constituting the cooling water passage is deformed to absorb increase in volume attendant on the freeze of the cooling water and to prevent the breakage of the cooling water passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
