<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit of a light-emitting display panel for accurately supplying a drive current of a previously set value and suppressing waste of drive power for an EL element in a scanning state. <P>SOLUTION: Organic EL elements E11-Enm are connected at each intersection point of anode rays A1-An and cathode rays B1-Bm, and by having constant-current sources IX1-IXn connected to the desired anode ray while scanning the cathode rays at a prescribed cycle, each EL element is made to selectively emit a light. A constant-current circuit IYO, functioning as a reverse current preventing means, is interposed between a supply source VM for supplying a reverse bias voltage to the EL element of a scanning state and a cathode-ray scanning circuit 3. A part of the current from the constant-current sources IX1-IXn is prevented from flowing into the supply source VM of the reverse bias voltage via the parasitic capacity of the EL element of a non-scanning state due to the existence of the constant-current circuit IYO. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
