PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine, such as a motor and a power generator, which is multipolarized, thereby the output is enhanced, the yoke of its stator or rotor is reduced in thickness, and vibration is suppressed to reduce noise. SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine (stator motor 1) is formed by attaching permanent magnets 3 to the inner surface of the cylindrical yoke 2 constituting its stator 4 or rotor.
