<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive negative electrode for a secondary battery hardly causing dispersion in capacity or output, excellent in an output characteristic, and having a long service life. <P>SOLUTION: This negative electrode for a secondary battery includes a base material for the negative electrode having an uneven structure wherein recessed parts are alternately arranged on one surface and the other surface, being planar as a whole, and a negative electrode active material. The negative electrode is characterized by that the recessed parts of the base material are filled with the negative electrode active material, and the surfaces of the projecting parts of the base material is in a state where the base material is exposed, or in a state where an active material layer having a thickness below the maximum particle diameter of the negative electrode active material is stuck to it. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
