<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize an optical output power level of a laser in an early stage after starting operating an optical transceiver module. <P>SOLUTION: An optical transceiver module 30 for optical communications has a transmitter 32, a receiver 34 and a controller 36. The controller 36 is connected to the transmitter 32 and the receiver 34 and has a transceiver operation code. The transceiver operation code includes a plurality of task code modules, and each of the task code modules is equipped with at least one of a plurality of tasks to control the optical transceiver module 30, and priority ranking is imparted to the tasks.
