<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for receiving an intermittent optical signal such as an optical packet signal and reproducing an electrical signal with little distortion. <P>SOLUTION: An optical coupler 7 demultiplexes input light into two waves, one of the two waves is inputted to a photoelectric converter 8 and the other is inputted to a first optical input port of an optical coupler 6. An output of the photoelectric converter 8 is inputted to a sample and hold circuit 5, and an output of the sample and hold circuit is inputted to a control terminal of an optical gate element 4. An output of the optical coupler 6 is inputted to an equalizing amplifier circuit 1, a clock data reproduction circuit 2 reproduces a clock signal from an equalization amplification signal, and an electro-optic converter 3 converts the reproduced clock signal into an optical clock signal. The optical clock signal is inputted an optical input port of the optical gate element 4, and output light of the optical gate element 4 is inputted to a second input port of the optical coupler 6. The injection of continuous signal light (optical clock signal) to an input of the equalizing amplifier circuit in a no-signal section always makes the electrification of inter-stage capacitance of the equalizing amplifier circuit 100 charged so that a receiver for the continuous signal light can receive burst data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
