PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit insert and pull-out checking structure by which the correct insertion of a unit into a rack can be checked visually and easily, in comparison with a conventional amplifier wherein there is such a problem that the unit cannot be surely checked for insertion until the unit is turned on. SOLUTION: The structure is provided with a plurality of optical sensors 11 each comprising a light emitting section 11a and a light reception section 11b in a rack 1, a light emitting diode that corresponds to each sensor 11 and emits light when the optical sensors 11 are in conducting states, and a shielding plate 22 to block the continuity of the optical sensor 11 to the unit 2. The optical sensors 11 and the shielding plate 22 are provided at such a position that the shielding plate 22 of the unit 2 is interposed between the light emitting section 11a and the light reception section 11b of the optical sensor 11 so as to block the continuity of the optical sensor 11 when the unit 2 is correctly inserted into the rack 1.
