PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily record data to a magneto-optical recording medium at a high speed. SOLUTION: A recorder 1 records the data on the magneto-optical recording medium (mini-disk 101 in the case of the figure) consecutively for a plurality of clusters by setting a writing ratio showing the rate of the writing period as a specified value smaller than 1 (e.g. 0.8).
