PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic hydraulic damper for restraining an increase in the width of an installation space, and restraining a cost increase. SOLUTION: This aseismic hydraulic damper 30 has a plurality of hydraulic dampers 36 disposed in parallel, and is constituted so that respective piston rods 16 and/or respective cylinders 37 of a plurality of hydraulic dampers are connected to a building structure by single support structures 32 and 34, and is constituted so that an expanding side hydraulic chamber 12a or 12b is respectively communicated, and a contracting side hydraulic chamber 12a or 12b is communicated when the plurality of hydraulic dampers 36 simultaneously extend or contract. Since the width of the installation space of the parallel earthquake damping hydraulic damper can be reduced, the volume of an effectively usable space can be expanded. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
