METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING DATABASE OF MEDIA FILES

PURPOSE: A method and a system for managing a database of media files are provided to make a user easily search/play the managed media file through the Windows Explorer in anytime by forming the same tree structure comprising link files and directories as the tree structure of a media managing program to a sub structure of the set directory. CONSTITUTION: A searcher(402) searches the media files. A storage(404) stores the searched media files and the metadata of the media files. A controller(400) generates a file directory of each class based on the metadata of the searched medial files. A generator(406) generates the link file for the searched media file to the generated file directory. A display tool(408) displays the generated link files and the directory comprising the generated link files.
