PURPOSE: A flat display panel and a method for driving the same are provided to reduce the scan resistance value on the scan line by applying the scan pulse to one scan line having a width larger than that of a conventional display panel. CONSTITUTION: A flat display panel includes a first data driving unit(70), a second data driving unit(90) and a scan driving unit(60). The first data driving unit(70) applies the data pulse to the odd number cell of data lines. The second data driving unit(90) applies the data pulse to the even number cell of data lines. And, the scan driving unit(60) applies the scan pulses to the scan lines connected to the odd number cells and the even number cells simultaneously.
