REACTIVE BANDWIDTH CONTROL FOR STREAMING DATA, PARTICULARLY CONCERNED WITH ADJUSTING REAL-TIME COMMUNICATION THROUGH NETWORK TO IMPROVE QOS UNDER INITIAL CONGESTION CONDITION

PURPOSE: A reactive bandwidth control with respect to streaming data is provided to enhance use of a transmitter with respect to an available bandwidth so as to maintain a QoS(Quality of Service) acceptable by a receiver by properly changing a transmission rate. CONSTITUTION: An ECT(ECN(Explicit Congestion Notification) Capable Transport) relation is established between a transmission end system and a reception end system(500). A weighted parameter is determined(502). An available resource is consumed according to a designated resource request(504). Indication of initial resource congestion such as a congestion report is received(506). A gain parameter is determined(508). A new resource request is calculated and provided to the consumption operation(510).
