PURPOSE: An electrode and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to prevent distortions of an electronic lens, while allowing for an accuracy of the shape of the inlet of the electrode. CONSTITUTION: An electrode for an electron gun comprises an inlet portion(112a) formed in a thickness-wise direction of an electrode(110), and which has a circular or polygonal shape, and an electron beam passing hole(113) formed at the inside of the inlet portion; and an indentation portion(115a) laterally connected to the inlet portion and filled with the material of the electrode. A method for manufacturing an electrode comprises a first step of forming an inlet portion and an indentation portion by pressing the electron beam passing portion; and a second step of filling the indentation portion with the material of the electrode.
