Pyridoxine and pyridoxal analogues: cardiovascular therapeutics

A compound of formula V (see below) or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof is described. The application also provides pharmaceutical compositions containing pyridoxine and pyridoxal analogues, and methods of administering pharmaceutical compositions containing a therapeutically effective amount of at least one of these analogues. The compounds may be used in the preparation of a medicament for the treatment of cardiovascular or related disease.
