<p>A tape reel allowing the reliability of a magnetic tape running at a high speed to increase and a tape cartridge having the tape reel, the tape reel wherein an annular chucking gear (152b) formed at the lower surface center part of the lower side flange part (152) of the tape reel (150) is formed of vertical wall surfaces to suppress the idle rotation and rise of the tape reel, whereby the running stability and straight forward running capability of the magnetic tape when the tape reel (150) is rotated at a high speed can be assured, and the reliability of the tape cartridge in high speed operation can be increased.</p> |
