<p>PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing nano carbon materials with high quality for use as electrode materials of FED or rechargeable lithium battery and as catalyst-containing materials of fuel cells. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: (i) starting materials comprising at least one compound selected from the group consisting of saturated hydrocarbon, unsaturated hydrocarbon, saturated cyclic hydrocarbon and alcohols in which an atom ratio of carbon to oxygen is 2.0 or more; and (ii) a catalyst comprising at least one material selected from the group consisting of transition metal-containing material, alumina, silica and silicon carbide at a temperature ranging from 100 to 800 deg.C with applying the pressure of 0.2 to 60 MPa such that the starting materials are converted into supercritical fluids or subcritical fluids to be in contact with the catalyst. Further, the method may additionally employ a supplementary substance capable of functioning as a reaction accelerating medium.</p> |
