摘要 PURPOSE: An image processing system, a projector, and an image processing method are provided to appropriately calibrate color smear caused by degradation with time. CONSTITUTION: An image processing system includes a display for displaying a predetermined calibration image, an image capturing unit(182) for capturing the calibration image, a region detection unit(180) for detecting an image display region based on image capturing information of the image capturing unit and dividing the image display region into multiple object regions, and a brightness information generator(176) for generating brightness information indicating an average brightness index value at each of the object regions. The image processing system further includes a calculating unit(160) for calculating the quantity of calibration of input/output characteristic data of each object region based on the brightness information, and a color smear calibration unit(130) for calibrating color smear of an image for each object region based on the input/output characteristic data. The display displays the image whose color smear has been calibrated by the color smear calibration unit.
