PURPOSE: A superconducting cable is provided to reduce thermal losses of refrigerant by recovering the refrigerant into a refrigerant recovery pipe after cooling of cable core, and reduce the space occupied by a refrigerant pipeline. CONSTITUTION: A superconducting cable comprises a cable core having a superconductive conductor; a heat insulation pipe(1) for accommodating the cable core, and which has a refrigerant forward path formed therein; and a refrigerant recovery pipe(3) accommodated in the heat insulation pipe and arranged in parallel with the cable core, wherein the refrigerant recovery pipe has a refrigerant backward path. The refrigerant recovery pipe is formed as a corrugated metal pipe.
