PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of restraining generation of cracks from a ply end of a belt while restraining a usage amount of a ply to the minimum. SOLUTION: A sixth belt ply 24F on the outermost along the tire radial direction is set to be wider than a fifth belt ply 24E adjacent to the tire axial direction inner side, and the width is within a range of 65 to 90% of a tread grounding maximum width. A part of the sixth belt ply 24F protruding to the tire width direction outer side from a ply end 24Ee of the fifth belt ply 24E is deflected to the tire radial direction inner side from a virtual extension line FL of a part on the tire equatorial plane side (of the sixth belt ply 24F) from the ply end 24Ee. A ply end 24Fe of the sixth belt ply 24F is arranged on a position having smaller distortion in portions adjacent to a shoulder part, and the generation of the cracks from the ply end 24Fe of the sixth belt ply 24F on the outermost along the tire radial direction can be effectively restrained.
