<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain proper correlation energy detection and finger (RAKE) synthesis or the like in a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The correlation energy detector is provided with a specification part for finding correlative values (I<SB>ij</SB>, Q<SB>ij</SB>) between a first signal sequence (I<SB>i</SB>, Q<SB>i</SB>) and a predetermined second signal sequence (H<SB>J</SB>) expressed with I-Q orthogonal components, further calculating a sum-of-squares root value ä√(I<SB>ij</SB><SP>2</SP>+Q<SB>ij</SB><SP>2</SP>)} or an absolute value sum (¾I<SB>ij</SB>¾+¾Q<SB>ij</SB>¾) of the found correlative values (I<SB>ij</SB>, Q<SB>ij</SB>) and specifying the second signal sequence based upon the calculated value. The correlation energy detector is equipped with a comparator means for comparing the value of the sum-of-squares root value of the correlative values or the absolute value sum of the correlative values with a threshold TH, and a selection means not to use the value of the sum-of-squares root value or the absolute value sum lower than the threshold in comparison for specification in the specification part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
