A telecommunication total budgeting unit that monitors, limits, and blocks, the total time and/or total cost of all outbound toll calls, custom call features, and all toll rate variances, taxes, and any addition fees imposed by a telephone service provider; made from a particular phone number: which enables an end user to allot time and/or monetary limits to multiple end users. Modem within the unit allows for quick download of all service charges to the systems database. Queries on LCD; 12 number keypad, and "function keys" assist user in programming. Programming modifications accommodate for animated account of custom charges and rate variances. The "+" key, on unit interface, manually starts system clock on collect calls, and three way toll calls. Security pin user appoints a pin identifier to each end user; then dispenses specified limits, and blocks on calls. Storage device retains data for all users combined. A CPU processes mathematical functions, and stores completed data in Ram. Duel tone frequency/ pulse processor receives signals from the telephone keypad and converts it into digital information. A red light and digital tone are emitted in conjunction to signal that limits are met. Relay with a normally closed position breaks circuit transmittal and terminates call. An RJ 11 jack connects the unit to a PC and enables the user to view and print records. The unit is designed for port installation and with a 9 volt battery back up system. |
