<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for recovering and transferring deposit for efficiently discharging the deposit (e.g. sludge of a sedimentation pond) at a reduced installation load. <P>SOLUTION: A halved fixed pipe 11 is buried in the reservoir bottom to provide a deposit-recovering channel 10 of a semicircular cross-section with the upper surface opened. A rotary pipe 12 is provided rotatably in the inside of the recovery channel 10. The rotary pipe 12 can open/close the upper opening of the channel 10. When the pipe 12 is in the opening position, the pipe 12 is held along the inside peripheral wall of the channel 10. When the pipe 12 is in the close position, the pipe 12 is provided with a semicircular tube 12a forming a closed space 13 of a cross-sectionally circular shape together with the channel 10. Deposit F trapped in the closed space 13 is discharged together with liquid to the outside in the state in which the pipe 12 is moved to the closed position. The deposit F is discharged on the principles of siphon and air-lift by utilizing a head differential between the height of an outlet of a discharge pipe and a water-level of the reservoir. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
