The miniature voltage adapter is for insertion into the circuit before the lamp and has an electronic controller. The miniature voltage adapter is inserted by connecting both current-carrying cables (1,2) to the adapter's input terminals (3,4) and connecting the cables (7,8) to the lamp to the adapter's output terminals (5,6). An independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a light source for lamps with an inventive voltage adapter.
