<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium to be recorded which can be suitably utilized in an image forming system using an inkjet recording system, satisfies ink absorbing properties, is excellent in smoothness of a glossy surface, has little curling depending on change in temperature and humidity, and is excellent in carrying properties. <P>SOLUTION: The medium to be recorded by inkjet provides an ink receiving layer comprising alumina hydrate with an amount of coating of ≥30 g/m<SP>2</SP>on a base paper and forms a glossy surface on the ink receiving layer by a rewet cast treatment. Elongations in water in the CD direction of the medium to be recorded are ≥1.5% before the rewet cast treatment and ≤1.0% after the treatment. The medium to be recorded which is suitable for forming a print having a texture feeling and a quality of an image as a silver salt type photograph by an inkjet recording method or the like, can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
