<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the normal or reverse twist strength of a tubular body made of a fiber reinforced plastic and equalize the elastic modulus of the normal twist and the same of the reverse twist. <P>SOLUTION: The tubular body is made of the fiber reinforced plastic formed out of a prepreg made by impregnating a reinforcing fiber with a matrix resin and has a first angle layer in which the orientation angle of the reinforcing fiber is 20°to 90°with respect to the axial direction of the tubular body and a second angle layer in which the orientation angle of the reinforcing fiber is -20°to -90°. The orientation angle ¾θ1¾ of the first angle layer and the orientation angle ¾θ2¾ of the second angle layer are made to differ from each other. The elastic modulus of the reinforcing fiber of one angle layer whose orientation angle ¾θ1¾ or ¾θ2¾ is approximate to 45°is set at a lower value than the elastic modulus of the reinforcing fiber of another angle layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
